it dosent engage at all.if you put it in gear and pull the clutch it wont move.and its getting worse.X(X(X(X(
i would start with a new cable and take off the clutch cover and inspect the plates.....u can scuff up the friction plates to get a little more life outta them, and make sur the arrow on the clutch arm is in line with the straight line mark on the case, u can adjust that by the phillips head screw on the pressure plate
i know this thing is a blaster but its starting to be a real money pit. ive spent more money on my blaster in the past month than i have with my 400ex in the past 2 years.
You have a used blasty? You got to realize people ride the piss out of them so when you get it used its gonna need all the bugs worked out.
1. You should pull out your push lever (the lever the clutch cable connects to on the stator side) I had this problem before, where the push lever pushed on the push rod it was completely stripped out from years of abuse on the clutch probably from hard shifting it.
2. Also check your push rod that connects to the pressure plate pull it out and make sure the bearing that rides between the two push rods didnt get mashed and welded into one of the push rods. (Make sure it dont roll out and roll away when your not looking, you can usually check with a mag lite in their to make sure its okay.)
Those are the two reasons i realized when i had clutch problems. Those are two easy checks other checks would be like Freek said "adjustment","bad plates"
Your springs could be shot but not likely, maybe their loose?
Let us know what you find.
^^ buy an o ring kit with big sizes, they work great for steering stem bushings
