it dosent engage at all.if you put it in gear and pull the clutch it wont move.and its getting worse.X(X(X(X(

i would start with a new cable and take off the clutch cover and inspect the plates.....u can scuff up the friction plates to get a little more life outta them, and make sur the arrow on the clutch arm is in line with the straight line mark on the case, u can adjust that by the phillips head screw on the pressure plate

i know this thing is a blaster but its starting to be a real money pit. ive spent more money on my blaster in the past month than i have with my 400ex in the past 2 years.

You have a used blasty? You got to realize people ride the piss out of them so when you get it used its gonna need all the bugs worked out.
1. You should pull out your push lever (the lever the clutch cable connects to on the stator side) I had this problem before, where the push lever pushed on the push rod it was completely stripped out from years of abuse on the clutch probably from hard shifting it.
2. Also check your push rod that connects to the pressure plate pull it out and make sure the bearing that rides between the two push rods didnt get mashed and welded into one of the push rods. (Make sure it dont roll out and roll away when your not looking, you can usually check with a mag lite in their to make sure its okay.)
Those are the two reasons i realized when i had clutch problems. Those are two easy checks other checks would be like Freek said "adjustment","bad plates"
Your springs could be shot but not likely, maybe their loose?
Let us know what you find.

^^ good call on the ball matt, i forgot about that lol..........its funny, batt and i are gonna ride tommorow and he comes over and hands me a ball bearing with 2 real flat sides well........its the clutch ball alright all mashed up lol, so for a quick easy fix we found a stainless steel ball from an earing, almost perfect match, should get us through the snow for awhile lol

Trust me Freek i aint that sharp! Its just me and my blasty had a knockdown dragout fight about this same problem 3 days ago. 8 hours later all was well and we foragave and forgot. Thank God i bought the Allen Wrench bolt kit for the clutch cover.
Oh ya 2strokepower dont forget to buy the allen bolt kit for your clutch, stator and oil pump covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only $20.00 haha..

Ya new brake pads, cables, bearings, bolts, dress ups, go fasts,on and on! Its Christmas do something nice for the blasty!!! haha..

its had plenty presents already and its not even christmas.ive had it for 3-4months and Ive had to replace/buy: chain, sprockets, air filter, a-arm, air filter, cylinder exhaust threads, fmf pipe, jets, spark plugs, service manual, fuel lines, fuel filters, air box adaptor, honed cylinder, tons more that i cant think of. The only thing that i am happy with is that its faster (top end speed) than my 400ex.and that the motor runs great.

There's real cheap blasters around here , if your in ny , or willing to travel here, it was soo long ago I can't remember his user name but , I bought a complete blaster for 270$ , it turned over but didn't run , first work I did on an atv , I was lost , trial and error , I pulled it apart and fixed , due to ( like I said I can't rem) blaster biotches husband I got a tors carb throttle cable and seat cover sent to me before I even reimbursed , bought sprockets off eBay and had them sent to him , a lil off topic but , this site is great for quote unquote blaster help , everyone chips in , and anyone reading I've got 90x my moneys worth for the membership fee , back on topic I'd pretty much buy anything used over new , 2 strokes are the harleys of atvs , it's not all about what they can do but taking pride in the time spent , everything goes bad in time , back off eBay till you see what members have unless it's dirt cheap , and things like cables 12$ isn't that bad , I know you said it's breaking the bank , I can't say I don't love my new clutch but based on cost and life I would almost take used clutch plates an put em in mine , be patient and sit on wanted ads here , your rushing to get everything you piss the Money away , and don't half ass it , if not for yourself l8r it sucks getting someone elses hack job , it's easier and cheap for the moment but in the end it's 5x the work
