need carb/jet help.

I bought a new jet the other day, assuming it was never done i guess. the previous owner bored it over but never said anything about the jetting. went to the shop and bought a 260 main, only to get the carb apart today and find a 350 in it? im confused about this
 
anything else? maybe something that might lead me to discover why this is like this. the part was 3 dollars. i just wanna get the right onw, or why is this jet so much larger????
 
well if you bored it .30 over and you have that exhaust system then you need a big jet like that
check your plug, if its brown then that jet if perfect
if its gray-white then need a bigger jet
if its black, then go ahead and try that new jet you bought
 
new jet doesnt work at all and never even kicked over. not bent about it really because i took it back apart and put the old jet in, and on llike the 7th kick it started right up and idled fine(usually starts on first or second). i mean, if it actually IS bored .30 over, and with the pipes, then it would need rejetting right? so maybe it was and the dude never told me? only way to find out is to take the top end apart. which ive been wanting to get done as well. a new top end rebuild
 
with with being bored .030 over and having that pipe it shouldnt be 350, im guessing thats from a kit like the dynojet kit and the numbers dont mean the same as mikuni numbers.

hell my parts blaster is bored .040 over with pro circut pipe, vito's high flow air filter, and boysen reeds and its running a little rich with a 250 jet i still gotta move the needle clip up one position.
