my blaster was running great, now it will run good for a while then llike crap, then i cant get it to kick start. i put a new plug in rode it and when i got to the point where it ran like crap i took the plug out and the space where the gap is is alot smaller than it was when i put it in? not sure if the piston head is hitting it some how or what, what it runs better in the colder weather. its starting to get warm here and now the issues are coming out, any ideas?

it's basically impossible for the piston to contact the spark plug, but you may have chunks of piston or something breaking off and hitting it.... i'd pull the head and check things out.
although the spark plug gap changing may be a figment of your imagination, and your jetting is just rich.

this was a new brand new one when i started, got a few hours out of it
my jetting is currently 290 main and one slot leaner from the middle needle jet, and a 32.5 pilot. I was running a 300main and the needle in the middle and it ran great then the crap started so i leaned it out and it was good, now its not so good, lol

if its boggish and laggin it is running rich, like hick said you could have pieces of the piston breaking and hitting it that is possible, check comp, pull topend and see if there is any issues, inspect piston rings etc
The r stands for resistor. When I bought my blaster it had a resistor plug and ran great! When I got a regular plug ( cheaper )I honestly couldn't notice a difference.
ya i am going to take it apart check everything out and prob build and do a leak down test, i found some gear oil on my skid plate some i think something might be leaking, maybe causing bad compression

look at that plug.. you probably fried it.. looks like the plug is white and thats no good.. to lean.
also why does it look like little pieces of metal on the threads.. hmmmm
the stuff on the treads is dirt and sand from my pocket, the plug head is gray. i think i am going to put my 300 main back in as well
ok the clip on the needle is where? im running a 300 jet in my girls stock carb so im guessing you have a stock carb.. what oil are you running? spray carb spray around the intake boot see what happens.. anything?
yeah you need to up the jets, and start with the clip in the middle. make sure ur gap is at .025. they say they are gapped but proof is i had one that was pre gapped, WRONG, it was not gapped properly
i was running the needle in the middle, then i moved it up one (leaner) whent he weather got warmer. i am using yamalube oil to premix with 93 gas.

ok run 300-310, put it back in the middle, the plug tells all, it is lean, so you need to richen it, always run it a little rich, that way you never have to worry
yea put your 300 in and put the needle in the middle and hope it didnt mess it up..
i only leaned it out when i started to run like sh*t, it started to run like crap when i had the 300 still in it, there has to be a leak somewhere... this is annoying, thanks for all the help guys
