way sweeter auto work than i had to do today !....

finding out the front wheel bearing is very bad on my sons 02 jetta, and that it is a press in unit only, so off to the shop it goes on monday :(

did you use a vacuum gauge on the intake to tune that carb ?

and LOL....is that your boss whipping you the finger in that last pic

That's just one of the ahole counter guys. I'm old school when it comes to tuning carbs. I go by sound, feel and smell. One of the young guys didn't beleave it so be double Checked it with his fancy high dolled tools and it was right on. I grew up with carbs so I know what I'm doing. Most of the young techs don't have a clue when it comes to carbs.

i've had my share of experience with the original rochester and 2 different holly carbs on my '71 396/402 monte carlo, but that cheap $15 vacuum gauge connected to the intake, then tune everything and anything for highest vacuum just made it so easy.
give it a try sometime !

I started out using one but after doing so many carbs, I can judge by the sound of the air being pulled into the carb to get max vacuum.

Looks like a fun friday!!! Did you atleast get to give it a test run to make sure it's producing power?lol
