Hey all, the whole top side of my case is wet with oil. I think I may have to change some gaskets. Does the case have a gasket in the center that goes all the way around? You know... Where you split the cases? I think the nub may have just used silicone sealer or something.

Um there is no gasket but, you are susposed to use soem gasket sealer in there when you press the cases together. it has been know to wear out and leak though. To fix it you are going to have to break down your whole engine, split the cases the then put the engine back together.

Okay, i will do that then. My kick start lever doesn't always catch, so what will I need to get to fix that while I am at it? Thanks for your help. btw, you should get some rep points or something because you are always very helpful. I:I

Hey man I am down for rep points. As far as the kick start, there is a spring in there there that will return the kick start back. If its not catching there is something wrong with the kick start gear.

You can get a good look as to what is happening in there when you break down your engine. Just remove you Oil cover and put the kick start back on the shaft, push it over with your hands and check out and see what is wrong. Could be as simple as the spring not being in place.
