my engine has a knock

My engine in my 1996 blaster has developed a knocking sound..any ideas what it my be?it starts good and runs strong.

Might be piston slap. Do you know your piston to wall clearance? If it's the right amount, (about .003") then the squish band might be too small.

It would be best to post a good vid of it running so we can hear the sound. It could be a couple of things and hearing it may narrow it down.
