Does anyone have any pics of there banshee master cylinder mounted up.I assume I have to modify the pedal and weld some tabs onto the frame for the master..My blaster is disasembled right now waiting to go to powder coat.Just looking to get a ball park idea of what everyone else did. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmm. sounds like there would be some slight fabbing to put up banshee rear brakes.

But if you're really interested, there is a website that makes a hydraulic rear brake kit for the 88-02 Blasters. It was previously made by TRENGA before they went out of business.

Specials

Not sure if it was a bolt on. But at least it's a complete kit for like $300?
Don't remember the price too well....

Those brakes do not work very well, they were designed for go carts originally. You could modify the brake pedal to accept the master cylinder then let that determine the position as to where to weld it on.

We sell a complete kit in which to mount to the old or new style brakes, we also modify the brake pedals.

Well im not gonna rain on anyone's parade here and usually I totally agree with you pitboss but its obvious that your just tryin to sell your product over your competition becuz ive got personal experience with this exact kit and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It does everything a hydro should do. DS I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the BZ hydro over any other and grim BZ has been making these for awhile, long before TRENGA went out of business. Just my two cents :)

I could care less where people buy there stuff. If this is such a great product then why do I continually get calls from riders that can't get parts for their brake system. Or when they need new lines and can't call to talk to someone about an upgrade. Or like how we've taken dozens of these and trenga's brake systems and had to machine the calipers down so the pedal doesn't have to be pushed way below the footpeg to work correctly.

Tell me this regal. Show me somewhere, anywhere on this site that I have pushed product for any personal gain towards our business. I dare you. The question was asked as to how to mount a master cylinder and I answered it. The part about us selling the brake kits and the fact that we modify the pedals for this application was for informational purposes only. This way that person might get the notion that I know what it is that I'm talking about.

If this was a good system then we would carry it in our store. As that it is not superior to the other systems that we carry, I for one decided not to sell them. I knew first hand about these due to the line of unsatisfied riders that wanted and expected something different.

Does it work? Yes, but so does the cable operated disc, just not as well as it should. Is it worth the money? No!!! Not when you can purshase a kit that you can walk into any Yamaha or Honda shop and buy replacement.

That's my 2 cents!!!

I already have the banshee setup cost me a total of $90.00.I am also using the banshee carrier,so it will mount right up.I am going to get started on mounting it now.I will modify the pedal by cutting off the rear section of the banshee pedal and weld it on to the blaster pedal.Remove the old mounting bracket and make a new one.Just thought someone might have done this and wanted to see what there eyes saw.Ideas are good.I will post up a how to so this doesn't get asked again. Thanks again.

Ya know Pit I've got alot of respect for you, you obviously know what your talking about, you do run a business geared towards blasters but Im a bit suprised at your defensive nature towards the comment I made. Daring me to find some form of pushing your products
Start with cardboard...by the way we have them in stock now.

(im guessing its not the cardboard you have in stock), this seems to be a bit of a pitch to me. I wasn't blasting PB or you, just stating that the hydro pictured works wonderfully for me and Ive never had a problem getting parts or support for it and would recommend it to others. This forum is about diversity, support and DIY, you folks who own businesses that are geared towards these markets are obviously welcomed with open arms, why wouldnt you be with your wealth of knowledge you are willing to share, thats awesome but don't get upset when someone suggests one product is on the level of another...

I'm not upset over the suggestion that the product is or is not better. The point that I was making was that I don't advertise or push products.

Our business is not geared towards just blasters. We offer a full line of parts and accessories for all bikes, quads and even street bikes. We also sell all OEM parts as well. I was asked to help in any way possible by the owners of the board and I thought I was.

I'm sure that the opinion that I might have won't sit well with others and that is something that I will respect. I was asked to advertise here as well but after being in this game as long as I have, we decided not to as to some might think that the site might become biased.

As for the cardboard comment, that was directed towards someone else as to a conversation that we had behind closed doors.

I'll leave this with saying that upset, I am not. Just clairifing things.

Well its good to see your not upset and Ive got no problem with you selling/pitching your products over one or the other on here, even if thats not your intentions, that's the world we live in and your lively hood, I was only conveying that Ive had nothing but good experiences with one of your competitors and they should feel comfortable with either companies brake setup. With that being said Ive never had the pleasure to use your setup either so to some extent Ive got a biased outlook on the situation. Glad to see there are no hard feelings!! Happy Trails!! :)

My son Kurt actually owns the store. I'm the #2 guy, really I'm the #1 guy since he is hardly here. He spends most of the day designing and printing his graphics.

I try to help him out as much as possible so later when I get too old and helpless he won't put me on one of those crappy old farts home.

Really thats cool as sh*t pitt yeah better butter up u dont wanna be the old guy in the home chasin the old ladys around pickin up your false teeth lol sorry
