Hey im new to the board just picked up my 3rd blaster today and has a problem. Guy tried to bypass the oil jets and unplugged the wire and put a metal clamp in the socket to complete the curcit I guess and he was pre mixing the gas and oil but he said it just started bogging out on him and now won't start.? It's an 03 and I'm not sure how to fix this. Could it be the cdi? I'm lost and have no clue what is wrong. Any help would be great thanks

wait what??? complete what circuit??? half assd way of by passing the injection isto just pull the line going to the carb and cap offthe barb on the carb where the line went, and remove the line from the oil tank to the pump... im not understanding what your talkin about with completeing a circuit..

also put a new plug in and try to start it.. ngk br8es or b8es plug...

if he was running premix and it started bogging out and now it wont start the plug is probably fouled out

compression is 155. The plug is fouled and smells of gas and has oil dripping from it to. New plug is sparking fine. And he is running pre mixed

and should I plug the oil injectors back in or is it possible to keep it as is? If I switch it back is there a way to check if the oil injectors are still good and working?

dont switch it back, pre mix is safer.. no worries on if its gettin oil or not, hell i drained the gas outta the cr250r i got the other day just cuz the fuel was questionable ... how is it riden?? putt putt puttpputt around the yard? if its ride like its made of glass and treated like its fragile it will foul plugs cuz its never fully burning the fuel mixture

not sure I have not been able to get it started yet got it for cheap and wanted to add another Atv to my collection. He said after it got warmed up it would bog out and die. I checked compression b4 I bought it and knew it was good. I heard cdi and throttle cable get messed up sometimes not sure if that's it or if it has anything to do with mixture or running too rich. I wanted to get a few ideas on what people think is wrong b4 I start messing with it.

not sure never had it started yet. Was told it runs till it gets warm then bogs out. Not sure if it's the throttle cable/cdi box or too rich.

if it runs, then bogs down you need to replace choke assembly, there is a little grommet that goes in there that engages/disengages, and if the plug is soaked, it is way rich, you are fouling plugs, now to check the pilot and main, pull the bottom of carb off and they are the bronze pin looking things in the bottom, there should be a plastic piece that comes out where the pilot is. check this let us know
