Well i am thinking of getting a blaster.. I used to race and owned a 450r and 250r both modded, and a kx100.. I had money problems and had to sell them dangit.. but i miss riding soo much and i was soo good at it i have some saved up.. I found a blaster for 1,000 buks, (just wanna get something i can tinker with and learn even more) which would leave me like 700 to put in it.. I was thinking cus im sure it wont be fast enough right off bat what i should do.. I know how to put everyhting on and do myself.. I was thinking toomey pipe kit or something else, i like mid and top end more but still like low, v force reeds,remove air box lid, k&n filter, and then a port and polish.. How can i go about finding someone who can do this and how much should it be.. and then of couse a rejet, any guesses on what size jets i should get.. and after that id prolly get 1 tooth bigger front sprocket, hopefully i can still have alot more power after that but i wann get the top speed around 65 plus.. Any other suggestions let me know.. thanks

go with reeds, bigger carb, airbox lid off maybe with a k&n, porting(contact flotek, kennedy or wildcard on this forum), maybe mill the head for higher compression, if its still stock toss a wiseco pro light forged piston in there. and if it really rips after all that and you want higher top speed, toss a 38 rear sproket on it.
A new pipe will run right around $300, but you're better off to find a good used one. Toomey pipes are good if you're planning on leaving the cylinder stock, but if you want porting there are better pipes to be had. Power Pros, F7, Vitos Fat Bastard, CT ect. ect. We can provide everything from the reeds to the portwork. Hit us up if you would like an estimate.
any right bend exhaust, air filter (K&N or UNI), get your head milled (.020 - .030 would work nicely...), and get a mild or moderate port job (pricey but well worth it), and a 14/39 or 14/38 gearing setup would be nice too --- that will put you right around 700 even...

your on the right track, but something you don't want to overlook is suspension and tires. the stock balloon tires are pretty crappy, and blasters just want to roll over every time you try to make them turn. shocks have a lot to be desired too. so your going to want to look into different shocks and either wheel spacers or aftermarket a-arms and a wider axle.
