lost compresion

me and a friend were riding yesterday threw heavy snow after about fifteen minuts his quad was smoking white and lots of steam then it stalled ..i got it kicked over after about 100 kicks and it wouldnt idle then five minuts later stalled and wont start unless its pulled and even then you have to gun it to keep it running.....thoughts??.im thinking blown top..if so what kinda prices is he looking at

yea sounds like a cooked top end....roughly around 200 to 250 for a fresh bore and piston kit

we got it pull started today and it was so flooded the pipe cought on fire..then it seazed up..it sucks he only rode it for like ten minuts.and got it two days ago

yeah your top end is toasted.
