loosen clutch

is there anyway to make your clutch easier to pull? i usually average 40 or 50 miles per ride, and my left hand kills me afterwards from the stiffness. theres no way i'm paying that much for a hydro one. is there anything i can do? i was thinking maybe squirting lube down the cable but i'm not sure how much that will help
