liquid cooling?

Don,t waste your money on that liquid cooled head kit. if your gonna do a l/c blaster find a dt200l/c engine. they are a direct fit not cutting or welding except for a radiator mount. I know, Im building one now. search threads for dt200 blaster engine conversions

you wont be able to put a head from a water cooled bike on a bike that was not originally water cooled you would have to swap the cylinders to.

damn... i want to put a 240 kit on it so i think il buy the liquid cooled head from Yamaha Blaster High Performance Liquid Cooling Kit because he can mill it to anysize i think... btw putting a dt 200 engine in it doesnt make sence.. its not a blaster anymore if u put a dif engine in.. i mean its cool if i put like a 300cc engine in then its kickass but a 200cc bike engine in is kinda dumb dont u think? id much rather buy the liquid cooled blaster head.. no?

Yea i would go with this kit if your doing a 240. Anyway with the extra heat from a 240 your going to need it. Looks like it would be awsome. Looks like it runs off of a vaccum pump. The guy says he has some for the vitos 240 kit. Let me know if you get a kit im interested in them too. There is one on ebay right now.

cool i think once i get my 240 head and get my blaster running nice il save up an extra 200$ and il buy one and mount it and everything and test it out.. i added you to my buddylist. il send u a message when i get it.. it will probably be in like march though because i have alot of work to do...

rebuild lower engine
rebuild top with 240 kit
rebuild carb
rebuild rear breaks or buy new caliper
buy new tires so i can ride!

once i get all of that out of the way il grab a liquid cooling kit and il let you know how it works.. il probably get back to you in like mid march early may

c ya round brutha

The dt200 engine has the exact same bottom end as a blaster except that it has a water pump set up. yamaha also made a dt 230 set up. you can put strokers in the dt200 so anyway they are an option as well as that water cooled head which btw if your worried about looks doesnt look right either. sorry just my thoughts. if you want to go with a strictly aircooled engine how about an aircooled engine from an yz250-490 from an 70,s motorcrosser before they went to liquid cooling?

Sorry, but my DT200 has a different bottom end as my Blasters stock. The crankcase is totally different, the intake from the carb goes directly in the crankcase instead of the cylinder!!!

There were several different versions of the dt 200 so that may be true, but the one I have is like the Blasters, Do you know what year you engine was produced? and where it was sold AT? Mine was originally sold on a canadian model from 1986-88model year

There the same motor.Thats where the blaster motor originated.Just from another country. The blaster motor is set up for liquid cooling just half to install the pump.Notice the valve that seems to have no use and goes no where.Thats where the pump goes.I:I
