nothing bothers me more when im idleing at night and the headlights flicker and i also want some more high wattage lighting, so i tried to fix this by using a backup lawnmower battery under the seat. somehow i messed up the wiring and fried the stator and some of the wiring harness. i have the blaster manual and tried to follow the wiring diagram my best but didnt come through, i know it can be done. i connected the negative terminal to the frame and connected the positive to the yellow/red previous wire in attemps to have the stator keep the battery charged. can somebody please suggest an alternative wiring route.

WOW under the seat on top of the carb is a brass screw.. this increases your idle if you turn it to the right (while standing on the quad) and decreases your idle speed to the left... by increasing the idle speed your increasing your RPM's in idle mode thus more electricity is coming from the generator!! you had no need to fry the harnes man!! anyway if you still want a light powered by a batery wouldny it make more sence to follow the wires from the light down the harness to the generator then cut that exact color down there!?! ughhh do reasearch before going into sumthin like that! best of luck tho hope i helped ya!

To do this correctly you'll need a rectifier and voltage regulator hooked up within the electrical system. I'd suggest a larger stator too.

Face it, the blaster wasn't designed to be a beacon of light.

i didnt ask how to turn the idle up, the stock generator wont hold the headlight, tail light, aftermarket fog lights and fuzz buzz. i grounded the black terminal to the frame and connected the red terminal to the yellow/red wire in the harness and repaired the dameged wires and put a 10 amp fuse on the battery. and what is a rectifier??? and the blaster already has a voltage regulator.
