Hi, I noticed my blaster was kicking out alot of white smoke so decided to change the seals, but do I need to change ALL the seals? its taken me bloudy ages to get the biggest one out, will try do the rest tomorrow. I know for definate the gear selector out seal is leaking.. (does it have an inner seal?)

It is a good idea to change both crankshaft seals as both may have the same wear time on them.

Do you think their is any need to change any of the others? other than the gear selector seal as Its really took the .... trying to get the bigger of the crankshaft ones of and dont fancy doing all of them if I dont have to

Also my last question is; will a yamaha banshee flywheel puller fit? as ill be buying one tomorrow but they dont sell a "blaster" one.

Definatly change the 2 crankshaft seals.

You have to decide wether or not to change a leaky gear seal, or not.

I can tell you if it is leaking oil, when it cools down the chances of contaminated oil being sucked back in is pretty high!

My advice is to change a seal if it leaks, its only gonna cause probs later on.

If it is not leaking, then it is in your ball park wether to change or not, but you are already in there, so why not change them if you suspect a problem.

As to the seals, if you have them might as well use them. Clean the area good before removing. No inner seal on shifter . Put one wrap of masking tape or other light tape on the shaft to protect the seal during installation. Pack seal with grease before install, or at least oil on shaft.

Banshee puller is same.
