Leak down test pressure?

Hey all,

I'm making my own leak down tester and have found a 5psi gauge, but I've seen everything else saying you need to put 6psi into the engine, no more, for the test.

Basically, can you do it with 5, or do you need 6?

IMO , I would get another gàge. I do 7# for 7min minimum.
