Kx 80 clutch problem

I just recently picked up a 1987 kx 80 my cousin gave me and theres a problem with the clutch. When I pull the clutch lever it wont pull at all. I took the motor apart because it wouldn't shift out of second either but I think I fixed that problem. I noticed a thrust washer missing in the clutch components could that be it? Or is it the springs or plates or something else?

I'd say if the thrust washer is missing that could be your problem. Is the clutch hard or no resistance at all?

It's hard. It doesn't move a bit

did you try it while pressrue plate was off? Have you disconnected cable from arm and tried cable? Maybe rod is welded to inside of shaft.

Have not tried while presure plate was off. But I did replace the cable and when I took The clutch cover off the rod spun easily.

All bikes/quads use very simular set-up rod-ball-rod/adjuster screw. Have to check all pieces. Also check the actuator arm where it pivots in case

That's what I meant sorry. The arm spins good. This is a clutch setup where the arm pushes a pusher/plunger thing onto the pressure plate
