Ok so the factory kill switch (handlebar mounted one that controls the lights and such) has been broken. I already have a toggle switch mounted in my fender that controls the headlights. So what i was wondering is if i were to connect the blk and blk/wht that runs to the factory killswitch to my toggle switch. Where would i connect them? + ,- ,grd?? I can see that its only hitting one conection pinout when its in the run position and 2 when its in the off position. Im just not sure how to go about hooking it up

You dont want to use the same toggle switch that you are using for lights unless it is a double pole switch (seperate set of contacts on both sides of the switch). You would want to install another switch. You would hook one of the wires to the common (usually the center) and one to the normally open contact (usually at the end of the switch). When you switch is in the off position it would actually be run and in the on position it would be kill. A better option though would be to get a real kill switch for it. I have a stock switch assembly from my part out if you are interested you can have it for $15 Shipped. Would solve you problem and clean things up for you. Let me know if you are interested and we can work it out.

use a seperate switch. I would recommend just a small push button kill switch like the yellow one shown on my dirt bike and then remove the OE kill witch housing.

with the wires apart the engine will run, with them connected the circuit is complete/grounded and the engine will not.
So on a simple two wire switch you just hook one wire to one wire of the switch and the other one to the other wire on the switch. when you hold the button down it connects the two wires and stops the engine.
