I was wondering if anyone can help me out...

I have a '93 blaster, and it's having problems starting.
I kick start it 50 times, and nothing. I have to push start-it, and it takes about 4 tries to push start it. I have installed a new spark-plug, new spark-plug cap, new ignition coil, new reeds, cleaned the carb...and still same problem.

Once it's started, it runs good in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, but once i get to 4th gear, it kinda starts to bog out and slow right down.

I'm starting to wonder if i should just scrap it and buy a new one.

Does anyone know what could be the problem? Any feedback would be appreciated

I think your jetting is badly out and you should do a compression test

what mods do you have on the bike and how is your jetting set up

Like LT said check comprestion. My 97 started to do the same thing, top end was wore
out. 150.00 later back on the the trails ripping it up.

rejet it really theres alot of performance to be had just by doing this right
if it still does this check to make sure its getting fuel let it idle and see if it cuts out

Yea u should definetly just give it to me and go buy a new one...:D. No for real tho just check compression and jetting like the others said

When I let it idle, it sometimes idles for a while, but sometimes it idles for like 5 seconds then cuts out.
I don't think theres any mods on it, its pretty much stock except for fmf pipe.

its my first bike, and I have no idea what jetting is??, im kinda a noob at this stuff lol

im going to do a compression test ... how much compression should there be?

if you say you have a fmf pipe do you mean the hole pipe or justthe tail piece?
and you are going to have to open the carb and check whaat size jets you have in there and also check that your air screw is 1.5 turns out

sorry for taking so long to respond..my computers been broken
...Its the whole fmf pipe

...I have no idea what jetting is, is there a tutorial or anything about it?
.thanks
