Key question

Anyone know what the rubber little boot on the end of the key that says yamaha.? Where to get them.?

Don't know where to get them but you can make a temporary one from a plastic bottle top to help keep the mud out.

If u wanted a new one you would probably have to buy a new ignition key, might be able to find just the boot used on ebay tho

i just aquired a rubber key boot, and soon found out that the key i did have, with the black plastic top, was just that, a short key blank inside just a plastic ring, i tried to cut off the plastic only to find the key only went in like a 1/4 inch, and definately wouldnt work with the boot, the dealers was no help, so i went to the locksmith and got 2 new keys made, but had to grind and cut it down to fit into the rubber boot, then "goop'd" it in there and drill the hole for the key ring
worked good, but way more hassle than i figured

keys shmeys, unless youre riding in a heavily populated area, i see no need for a key, unhook the 2 wires for the key set up and give er heck
