That's awesome. Gotta love the older 2-stroke skis, so much lighter than the 4-stroke boats they call skis nowadays. I did a project two years ago, rode it for a summer, and traded it for the blaster. Try some steel wool on those faded plastic rubrails. Takes awhile but it removes that upper oxidized layer.

Gotta picture whore a bit here...
Started with this Polaris SL650 2 stroke yard decoration. Doing everything myself I was able to keep the total at around $1300.

Dropped in a rebuilt 750 motor, with 780 carbs on top. Replaced EVERYTHING- fuel system, jetpump stator, bearings, prop, added reverse, blah blah.

Kinda wish I still had it, but I've gotten much more use out of my quads.

ight thanks.... i just paid $1000 for the motor.and another $400 on parts and im not even done. the old owner sent the rod trow the hole block nothing was reusable... i bought the ski for $900 for both of them.. the one didn't have a motor in it and i know that. but the other one was suppost to run. but it was 16degs out and i didn't check it. i just took the guys word. and it turns out the motor was blown.. now i don't buy anything unless i hear it turn over at lease
