Well I'm still debating whether to bump up to a 250r or 400ex shock instead of the stocker since my is toast. My question is just how much of an improvement over stock are these shocks, and where do the improvment come, i.e. ride quality, softer... I thought my rear was pretty soft and had problems with it bottoming out, but I figured that just had to do something with this being a smaller quad and me a bigger kid, but after my shock went out i probably haven't been running on a 100% shock for awhile. I mostly trail ride, with some hill climbing and like to play on the sand bar when then river is down. I don't do any MX or much jumping for that matter, I like to keep atleast 2 wheels on the ground at a time if I can help it.

Thank You
Levi

It's worth it. Wait for a good used one. The blaster shocks were junk when brand new, now there 20 years old with no rebuild. When your shocked right it will help keep tires on the ground. I can only speak for the 400ex, I like it, for a stock shock.
