i have a 2003 blaster, tors gone, parking brake gone. when i got it it had no airbox cover. sometimes its hard to get it started and i ALWAYS need to choke it. not sure if thats normal. im pretty sure its not bored. sometimes right when i get it started it bogs down and then runs fine. what size jet should i get? also where does it accually go? im in new jersey im not sure what elevation. i amy be getting an fmf powercore2 slip on exhaust, would it need to eb rejetted after that? thanks alot, dylan

if you are just getting the scilencer and not the whole pipe you don't need to rejet. change your spark plug, clean the carb with carb cleaner. take the bowl off the carb and the brass hexigon shaped thing in the middle with a hole in it is your main jet. it will have a number stamped on it like 230 240 somethin like that. the pilot jet is what controls idol fuel. you probably need to adjust your idle air screw also. the flat head screw on the shifter side of the carb. screw it in all the way them back it out 1.5 full turns

thanks for the quick response. this may be a stupid question but do you need to take the carb off to clean it? also how do you clean it? any reccomendations or warnings? i just got it yesterday and am scared to mess it up haha

yes you have to take the carb off. just take the bowl off(bottom part of the carb) buy a can of carb cleaner and clean the whole inside of the carb, every hole you see spray the cleaner through it. just pay attention to how it comes apart. nothing scary in there. nothing falls out when you open it or anything.
