I just bought 2 new 2005 Blasters 2 weeks ago and now have some general questions. I want to put Nerf bars on them and the Tusk Comp Series from Rocky Mountain ATV have an attractive price. Someone mentioned in their review that for their blaster they had to remove the heel guards to make the nerf bars fit properly. Is this true with the 2005s? Is there another brand that I should get instead of these that may fit better?

I have also read across different places on the web about removing the auto oil injector and premixing the gas by hand. What would the advantage be to doing it this way? If I keep everything stock on the bikes is the factory oil mix ratio sufficient? That is the only reason I could think of for premixing is to increase the ratio.

Thanks!

the premixer is very unreliable, if you pinch a line youll blow your motor, if you mix it its mixed no chances. that and its a power eater, its a small plastic gear, and they strip out easily then you blow your motor. eliminate. also TORS, throttle override system. eliminate. useless, dont suck water into your carb and you dont need it.
