I have a 01 blaster and i have been having problems with it. I have a pipe and after market silencer with a k&n air filter. Before the blaster would just die out everytime i went more than half throttle. So i was told to re jet it. I went from a stock 230 mikuni jet to a vitos 310. Now it runs alot better but still having problems going full throtle it just dies as i slow down. I was wondering if i should go to a bigger jet or buy a aftermarket carb.

Carb

Thanks for the help. I was also thinking about getting a oil injection block off kit and putting a mikuni flatslide aftermarket carb on. Would that be a good idea or should i just keep my stock carb on it.

carb

right now i have a 28mm carb what size would i have to go up to if i have k&n air filter, pipe, aftermarket silencer??

So the only mods you have are the pipe, silencer, and a K&N filter? One thing I can tell you is that a 310 main jet is going to be way to big. I have a 250 main jet on mine and my blaster runs great. I am at about 2500 feet. IDK what your at but you may want to jet down.

As far as the oil block off kit I would do it. My blaster has it and I bet 75% of the members on this forum have it too.

Last thing is dont adjust your air/fuel screw that much. That you should really just keep in the stock posisition which is 1 1/2 turns out. Messing with that will cause you much more problems than just straight up jetting. Also, dont mess with the needle either. With you minimal mods you should be able to get your quad running perfect by ONLY adjusting your jet. And, just my experence it seems like your main jet is too big.

Carb

Where is the best place to just buy a one size jet not the whole kit because it would be a waste?? And would it be best to keep the stock mikuni carb on it or buy a aftermarket one??

Carb

What kind of carb should i purchase since i am getting a oil injection block off kit. or should i just use the stock one and plug up the oil intake to the carb??
