ok guys i got a size 260 main jet today and put it in the blaster it has a reed spacer, boysen rad valve, k&n filter w/ airbox lid removed and i run only premium in it, i started it up and it runs fine real snappy and all but i looked at the plug and it looks ok but i see only a really really faint puff of smopke out teh exhaust, should i richen it up? and how do i do that?

are you running a pipe at all?, um my blaster is using a 36 main with a pipe, filter, no lid, and homemade port and polish and i barely get any smoke so dont worry, its all how the plug reads, u want the plug to be caramel colored. good luck and get a right bend ppe for that thing, my lrd gave me a real seat of the pants difference in performance

if you have a coco brown color on the plug after winding thru all the gears while its jacked up (take off the tires so it remains stable as you ride it thru the gears

once you top it out in 6th pull the killswitch or turn off the run switch then quikly take off the plug and see if its still coco brown

if you dont see alot of smoke its probably because spring weather has set in and the high heat exhaust isnt coming out into cold air (creates a bigger fog out of a tiny bit of exhaust) so now its just hot exhaust coming out the pipe to mid temp air 50 degrees 60 degrees and you cant see the fog.

if you must richen it up put a smaller main jet in the carb
i would say get a 290 jet at least with your mods cuz the k&n alone bumps the jet from a stock 230 to a cozy 240 when you get the power up kit or w e k&n offers.
if you take off ur airbox lid you are getting alot more air so i would say bump that jet from a 240 to a 260
and with the boyseen rad valve a 290 sounds good kinda pushing it.
if you have high air density in your area (altitude) you can get away with a 290 or even 300
but im not sure where you are so id stick with a 260 for now and if you want more power you can always buy a bigger jet and check ur jetting for that nice coco brown.
hey its better to run rich than lean just remember that before you finish jetting

what should the jetting be on a 04' blaster with a pro circuit pipe and silencer, boyesen power series reeds, and a uni air filter. I run premium fuel and amsoil dominator, oil injection. Any ideas?
