so I recently rebuilt my motor with a new vitos +3 crank, .090 weisco piston, fmf fatty gold series exhaust, 33mm carb, uni foam filter in a stock air box with no lid, and I think the reeds are stock. I took the 130 jet out of the carb and put in the 240 jet from the stock carb and set the needle in the 3rd spot. it idles great and has good part throttle power but I haven't gotten it that far open yet and want to make sure it won't be lean and burn up the new motor. does anybody have a real good starting point for a main jet because I am sure that the 240 is too small from what I have been reading. sorry no pictures for you yet they should be coming in a week or so. thanks for your help in advance.

soooooooo what kind of carb did you put on it? is it a keihin? if it is you need to get keihin jets, not mikuni

the carb I put on it is a mikuni off of a kawisaki 340 twin sled. It was a free carb and bigger than stock so I figured it was an obvious upgrade I just don't know what size the jet needs to be for the mods I have
