hey guys im new to the blasters i have a 95 blaster with fmf pipe and fmf power core 2 silencer and i jst put vitos 2 stage reeds with a 38 rear sproket and i still have the oil injection and i have a knock off k+n air filter . so my problem is when i have the air filter in it dosent wanna rev up as fast at all it runs so much better with out it and i have not jetted it at all but i have a vitos jet kit the smallest jet is a 290 and the fmf recomends a 230 should i try the 290 and :-/see what happends ?? and i have used the serarch bar
 
hey.. jets can vary.. I found all the FMF jets to be way too small.. A bit richer is safer.. it will help keep ur engine cool. A big surge on the top end with dead mid and low is indicative of rich mixture, really smooth power delivery with no surge on top at all means maybe its a bit lean.. But jets vary from motor to motor and setup etc..

I have a really free flowing engine, and I use the stock carb, with a needle from fmf, and a 460 or 470 main.. Stock carb untill i can put ma new Keihin 34 on..
