ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - An Central Florida man was arrested on Monday for impersonating a police officer.

According to authorities, James Mark Stewart Jr., 25, attempted to stop a car while traveling along SR 417 in Osceola County. It just so happens that two of the occupants inside the car that Stewart had pulled over were off-duty troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol.

The troopers said Stewart had red and blue police lights in the dash area of the truck he was driving. As Stewart pulled up to the vehicle, one of the state troopers identified himself as a law enforcement officer. The troopers said that's when Stewart sped off, so they notified FHP dispatchers and called 911 to report the incident.

An Orange County Sheriff's deputy and an Orlando Police officer initiated a traffic stop near the Orlando International Airport and trooper's arrived shortly thereafter to arrest Stewart. Thames Jehrrod Quinault, 44, from California, was a passenger in the truck and was also arrested for tampering with evidence. Both were booked into the Orange County Jail.

Cop impersonator stops off-duty troopers

Maybe he was looking into a law enforcement career and just wanted to " try it out " but the fact that he picked a vehicle that had 2 off duty FHP officers in it is a message from Jesus that he has zero intelligence and even less common sense and is devoid of good judgement .

My cousin used to drive a grand Marquis when we were teenagers and for fun we would hang out by this road where everybody would speed , it had a sharp curve and we'd sit and point a hairdryer at them as they would fly around the corner and they slam on the brakes and we'd laugh our asses off . And that in itself was dumb , but geesh this guy takes the top prize for stupid

well mother$%&*#@, he better get his a$$ out of there and get to dallas because im going to watch him race saturday!!!!
