I've seen people do it with the shee engine, but this is the first I've seen it done with the RZ engine. Probably still slower around a track and trails, but seems pretty balls out. B)
I never understood yamahas reasoning for not including the ypvs on the shee but i suspect it was a cost thing. That guy has a build thread on bhq. Pretty f'in sweet hybrid if you ask me with the best of both worlds.

Yea, that totally befuddles me too. Granted the RZ was way more powerful, but even detuning it, why not just include the powervalve? :-/ Getting rid of the powervalve was not only stupid in terms of overall performance, but in my opinion, it made them even more unsafe because of the light switch powerband they have without it.
