intake gasket?

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the intake boot and the reed holder? I have a gasket between the reed assembly and cylinder.

Nope. The intake boot is made to make a seal between itself and the reed cage.

Mines seemed to have a air leak there so i put a gasket between both and it worked fine

No problem. And it doesn't hurt to put one there, just as long as there is one between the reed cage and the jug.
