i am curious if there is somebody who has already made a diy thread about stripping you frame down to just the frame without any parts attached?
i ave been searching around and cannot find one out there.

i can make one. my bike has been stripped and put back together. but i dont think it needs to be a DIY thread. i mean its common sense on how to take it apart.... its putting it back together that people might need a DIY thread on. IMO

im not talking about stripping paint brandon, i just mean like say for example, this weekend im gonna be swapping everything over to my other frame and am willing to take pics of how it all comes apart and goes together.
im thinking more about the people who dont have the common sense and dont want to take something apart not knowing what they are doing.

ahhhhhh
well..................if they're that incompetent working on it, maybe they should be transferring one part at a time...

I think if someone needs a DIY to undo bolts that maybe they shouldn't be taking it apart in the first place? Not trying to be a jerk but seriously if someone can't see the bolts holding something maybe they should not be doing that.

taking my bike apart was easy took me about a hour. putting all the wiring and all the tricky stuff i wished there woulda been a thread on how to put it back together. like i said before common sense tells you that this bolt takes this part off etc. but after you forget to lable it and your trying to remember what bolt went to were a DIY fourwheeler build up thread could come in handy

Fair enough... about the bolt thing... learned my lesson there on my car! The blaster doesn't have too many bolts though. And I just buy replacement bolts to use most of the time. Tekbolt is my friend haha. Cleaned a lot of threads and even made some take the next size up bolt.

haha thats the process I used for my car this time... replacing head gaskets... not fun :(

I might be a different kind of person but when I did mine I just threw all the bolts and whatnot in a can and just put bolts back where they fit. If it was too long you find a shorter one if it is too short you find a longer one. I do it just like that weather it be a blaster or a car. but if the blaster is older and the bolts are messed up like alot of mine were you could just buy a labeled bolt kit but those are spendy compared to the actual cost of the bolts it is much cheaper to take bolts into your local bolt store and have them match them up with new ones

okay so nobody wants a tear down diy. i will keep everything all seperate nd make a diy build from scratch, with measurements of bolts and pictures, lots of pictures.
this way when somebody buys a basket case blaster like i know many of you have you can clearly see what bolt goes where and how. look for the thread after the weekend.
and dont give me any flack about painting my frame. im just trying to get ready for busco right now the painting will happen this winter
