I am looking to get into racing but i am wondering if there is a division for the newer racer like the beginers kinda?
At our local track for the smaller series races the have youth quad and they have an amature class. But when we travel to the bigger races he'll race in the blaster class. They have first time D class and then it goes C,B,A. My son is alittle better than the average ridder and he races B class. We acutally raced our first supercross race last night and he doubled. He also races a yz 85. I would recomend going out to your local track and watch one race. It's a real friendly atmoshere up here in Wash, And dirtbike families are the best!!
no joke.. your always gonna want to go faster, but the first mods i suggest are : pipe, wheels and tires and a oil block off kit (not completely necessary but i do recommend it!!
i have, chest protector, jersey, boots, and pants.. (just got all this stuff, and the boots are a PITA to shift with at first)
i would at least go with chest protector and boots.. and gloves of course
the required equipment for a quad is a tether kill switch, nerf bars and a rear number plate. Most tracks won't even let you on them with out a tether kill switch and nerfs. As far as riding gear, thats up to you. I wear everything but a chest protector, tryed one and didn't like it. Most tracks will require you to wear pants, long sleeved shirt, helmet (of course), and some type of boots. When I started I wore work boots
