Do you think I need to put any gasket sealer stuff on the new clutch cover gasket or no? What do them bolts need torqued to? Any locktite on the bolts?

ya that happend to me yesterday, got everything back together oilinjection blocked off, fill it up with tranny oil look on the ground its pouring everywhere.
then you gotta take nerfbars off, right peg then take the kickstarter back off.AND DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

I think one bolt hole may be stripped already. I do have a new gasket but someone told me to put light coat of sealer on each side of the gasket first. The guy also said to torque to 7 or 8 ft lbs 10 MAX but that's not much so it seems like i better use locktite med. strength.
The thing that started this whole thing is my clutch cover bolts vibrated loose and fell out. One day they were there in the morning but after riding hard all day half of them were gone.

So to recap so far the vote is no gasket sealer on a new gasket
and
the jurors are still out on the locktite?

sh*t use loctite, use the lowest strength of loctite, can't remember the color, purple maybe, just buy a gasket for 2 dollars or whatever the f*ck they sell for, and be done with it. use ur judgement on it, just make sure it don't leak and u will need to helicoil the bolt holes if they are stripped, hope you got a tap and dye set!

i would just clean the threads up with a tap and loctite them it there. red or blue...i would also go to the hardware store and buy allen head bolts, maybe a little longer than the stock phillips so when u run the tap all the way in there will be some thread the longer screws can grip. and yea they dont need to be real tight. the gasket is all u need , maybe put a lil silicon or something on it to hold it to the cover so it doesnt get out of whack when u put it on...
