I need a new silencer. I let my blaster sit in pieces for 2 years, moved from TX to KY and somewhere in there my silencer grew legs. I have a power pros pipe, and they're out of business. Called up CT racing and they have someone else making the same pipe and silencer, but it would take a month to get one made. Trinity doesnt carry anything blaster related anymore. So now I'm looking at other alternatives. Would there be any power difference if I went with a fmf powercore 2 silencer?

No difference in performance, jetting should be the same, make sure the pipe and silencer are the same size where they join.

my friend has a fmf pipe on his blaster, I'll take mine over there and see if it fits. Powercore 2's are on ebay for $100 free shipping and here by friday. That sounds better than $130 plus some ridiculous shipping charge from ct racing one month from now.

The Toomey B-1 Silencer and expansion chamber has been dyno tested and has the most power for yamaha blasters. I like the sound of it but not everyone does. I recomend looking into that pipe.

Toomey claims that the B1 produces power over a wider RPM range than any other pipe on the market.

That is on a bog stock engine.

Not always the best choice if you want the power to come on earlier for low down power, or vice versa.

i guess it all depends on where you ride and your riding style

I have a Toomey b1 setup, I love it, I have a LRD also, an ive ran fmf an dg, an i have a dmc sitting here aswell but haven't used it yet, but the Toomey does have a very wide power band, it comes on just as early as the fmf an pulls like the LRD on top. Ive never found the rpm were it quits yet. But im also on a built engine.
