+5 horse is not right ,actually it figures out to about minus 20 rwhp (if you have a pipe )once the piston cracks at the intake windows and drops its skirt in your lower end at high rpms
you might be alright with their forged one ,problem is all of their forged pistons at vitos have the power piston pie cut in the exhaust area ,not like a normal prolite ,this tricks your cylinder into thinking its exhaust roof is raised around 5 degrees and while that may seem like not much concern and a minor benefit for the average guy, it is trouble for anyone with a quality port job or planning one as this will effect your porting in a negative way becuase your blowdown will be off (the transfer timing hasnt changed but exhaust has )and if your at say MX/dune port timing it will push you closer to a drag port and youll narrow the powerband and potentialy lose lowend torque response that youd otherwise have.how noticable will it be ? well thats hard to say it depends on the port layout, solution: dont take the chance run genuine Wiseco prolites
I agree, run a tried and trusted Wiseco piston. Leave the port durations to a builder when you're ready for portwork. 5 hp is a pretty lofty gain considering the rest of the porting and the exhaust width is stock.
