Hi, I want to make my Accelaration faster because when i race, i race short distance and it would be much better if i can pull faster then my friends! What mods can i do or put in to make my Accelaration faster? Thanks!!

What is your budget?
Gearing a little lower will help a bit.
So you have any mods now?
I have port a polished piston, reed valve was upgraded, put a reed spacer, board 1 mm, and Toomey exhaust. My budget isnt a problem i would just like to know what would make my Accelaration better!

Dang where did you get one of those! super rare!

Port and polish refers to the intake port on the cylinder, and exhaust port. Head mod is next, actually rechanbers the head for better performance. Do yourself a favor, take the top end off, send it to Ken OConnor Racing in CT. Thats where most of the power will come from that your looking for. Pricing is reasonable too, think its $60 for head and like $150 for port job.

sry but this is mis information, lightened flywheel only helps rev the engine faster. Since there is less weight to spin, revving happens faster. Now this can be good or bad depending on how you ride...
Not entirely, less rotational mass will help. Some even lighten the counter balance shaft. Depending on situation, lighter rear tires and wheels helps..

At this point, porting and head mod will be your best bang for buck.

The less mass you have to spin will make the acceleration quicker.

If you are not looking at speed then changing the sprockets can make a hell of a lot of difference.

Just swapping the front sprocket for a 12. Tooth can improve the get up and go a lot.

So swapping the front sprocket will increase my Accelaration? And i switch the front sprocket do i have to switch the rear?

ive got a lightened flywheel on my 400ex xc race bike and I like it alot. Ive read mixed reactions on a lighter flywheel and not sure if this is right, but a lighter flywheel is worse for drag racing cause you lose a small bit of torque when you launch off the start?
