so im selling a motor, it has been bored to a 240cc, hot rod crank, port/polished/, wiseco pistons, how much would this be worth?

its hard to put a price on a modded running motor. honestly it costs less then 500 to build a motor yourself. IMO the 240 and hotrod crank (stroker????) wont really up the price at all cuzzz there not that rare or hard to come by.

imo perfect world perfect motor still less then $500 bucks more then $300

i bought a motor with just a blown piston for $80

There our tons of blasters out there.

That makes it hard to get any real money you put into one, back out of it.

Since we have a blaster, I now notice them all over. Because they were cheap when they came out, low cost for a good value.

But what this really means, Is they you can find them for $50 to $100 easily. and decent ones for $500 to $1000.

But parts are all over like crazy and cheap. cuz everyone has one or parts.

Long story short. If you get more than a $100 for your motor, you are likely doing good. even though you have more than that into it.

Because, in part. your modded motor is in less demand, then average stock motors or parts.

So if someone bites on it for over $150, feel very blessed. Even though you are taking a loss.

Very true. Most people have a hard time trusting the condition of a built up engine. A lot of time they feel that a built motor has had the sh*t ran out of them and may not last long after they buy it.

Who did the work, when was it done and are there receipts to verify the work, labor and parts used? I see so many 240cc, 250cc and 280cc Blasters for sale that there would be no way I would take the word from someone I didn't know. To me, a KOR built 240 engine with paper work and current compression test is worth several hundred more than a CraigsList 240 engine with no supporting documentation.

I would never consider buying a modded motor, unless it was straight from a reputable builder.

Way too many variables, did the builder assemble it correctly, in a clean envioroment.

What experience did the builder have.

Was it leak tested.

Was proper break in performed.

Was it plug chopped to confirm jetting.

Was the crap ridden out of it.

How many times have you heard the story, help, I have just bought a ***** and it has blown up.
