how bad is this ?

im trying to but my phones acting up, the piston skirt broke off and put a hole in the crank housing out to the counter balance

Pretty sure that it can be repaired by someone who can weld.

ive repaired a case that broke in almost the exact same spot.

how would i go about welding this? i dont have the peice that go there? would i jus weld a piece of metal there and grind it smooth ?

i recently bought a set of cases from a guy on here that were supposed to be ready to run but ended up there was a crack in it in the exact spot as shown here. Ive filed a claim to get a refund through paypal because he's being ridiculous and not cooperating, but in case i don't receive that refund is it possible for it to be fixed?

I was thinking no since its in such an important spot you wouldn't want any imperfections so that the crank won't be disturbed?

Can it be repaired ...anything can be fixed but is it worth the risk ? IMO.. I would look for another case half.

Your case is definitely able to be repaired if your not comfortable with having your case repaired I will buy it from you an I will fix an use it.

Yes thats the deal.... Seemed cool at first then everything went sour. Think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and go brand new once i get the extra. Got both halves and a crank. but the crank definitely needs rebuilding, the side to side at the base of the rod is pretty bad. And the stator side case is the one i need but thats where the crack is. Clutch side seems to be in perfect condition, just dirty

I just don't know anyone down here that does that kind of welding. and yes id be willing to sell it i suppose.. might have to wait a few days I'm in the middle of a paypal thing. if i don't get my refund and have to return them id be willing to sell.



The welding of that particular area just seems like a very tedious job that not just anyone could do, you know? If anyone knows of a trusted shop down here in south florida. (broward county) or surrounding areas?
