Hood

I got bored a couple years ago and painted a Cadillac hood lol

sanded and some body work

primer

taped off flames

when I took the tape off it pealed the black paint... i was pissed

Left it looking like thise

This is how it hangs today, I was able to find a Cadi emblem to put in the hole

The flames are pinstriped in green. I used wallmart spray paint and acrylic paint for the whole thing

My idea is to get a couple hoods (I have two more to work on), paint them different colors and hang them all over the garage

Nice. I did the same thing with some metal cabinets that were in my garage when I bought my house. Paint peeled on me too when I pulled the tape. Think it was too fresh when I taped it.

I did the same with my old trans am hood. I hung it on the wall in front of my car, It was all rusted out and I didnt want to scrap it (has that nice huge bird on it haha) So I screwed it to the wall. I would of put it in my room but my parents would of killed me haha.

we did the same thing to figure out what design we wanted on our 48 chevy. it was a hood half painted with flames and half painted with a checkered flag design. i wanted to keep the hood but i dont know where it is at now.

one day i hope to have a large garage and have them all hanging around. i ended up getting two more last night, but they were used for sleds lol
