a friend of mine has one he hasnt had any problems with it yet it has good power an great torque compared to the warrior he had cant help ya on the upgrades though hes a stock kinda guy lol

very reliable, just change the oil like normal and you will be fine..
as for upgrades there known to kinda fall off in the top end, a aftermarket rev box ( cdi) , filter header and muffler and jetting will haul out just fine, 440 big bore kinda kills there reliablility, if go big bore go 425

I have a 2007 400EX. It is very powerful. I wanted a good all around sport quad and I believe it fits the bill. First mod for performance is exhaust. First mod for bling is to get rid of that corny looking front bumper. The other mod for looks and performance is nerf bars.
