ok, so my foreman has been siting for about 2 years in storage. Well i got it out today, and it wouldned start, and then i realized i forgot the drain all the gas out before i parked it and it gumed up the jets.

Ive cleaned the jets and and everything in the carb and got it ideling now.

it runs fine with the choke on full or half, but when i put turn it off. I give it gas and it dies.

what does this sound like to you guys?

and if i remember correctly on a 4 stroke you tighten the air/fuel screw in to give it more air right?

There are a few notable differences between the carburetor on a blaster and the carburetor on a honda foreman.

The pilot system in a 2 stroke carb is simple, only two outlets into the carburetor throat one is the pilot hole and the other is the choke bypass/richening circuit.

The pilot system on a CVK carburetor is much more complicated. There are actually 5-6 outlets in the pilot system. There should be a pilot hole, choke richening bypass and 3-4 pilot partial throttle outlets. Because the carburetor slide is controlled by vacuum instead of the throttle cable itself, the transition phase goes lean without a transition circuit.

Those holes are tiny and they are located in the carburetor throat right under the edge of the butterfly as it cracks open. You have to spray carburetor cleaner in from inside the throat down into those holes to blast them clean otherwise the engine will cut out when you apply the throttle

its just weard, i mean i can drive it around ans stuff fine with it on half choke. I soaked it in carb cleaner and blowed all the holes out with my air compressor, which was why i was thinkign its the piolet screw just needing a little less air. and more fuel.
