Just got her on sunday its an 04 blaster supposedly bored .40 over, it had a fmf fatty but i put a stock on cause i really needed money and it was way to loud cause i ride alot late at night and dont need cops messing with me but anyway when you start it up for the first time in an hour or 2 it revs really high but if u put it in gear and move forward it stops. if u drive it for like 3 min then stop it will calm down and not do it anymore until you let it sit for a good wile and start her up again. it doesnt do it when you are riding it at all. and it runs normal other than that. what could it be? ive cleaned the carb, wich btw leaks, and still no cigar.

ANY HELP AT ALL?????? this is my first post so help me out please...:-/

give a time frame on how long it idles high.

all motors generally idle high at first, then after a bit comes down after the motor warms up.

on a quad pull the choke, give her a kick, once she starts up she idles high after a bit push the choke back in. once she warms up and gets close to operating tempature the idle should come back down.

did you try adjusting the idle screw ?

stratton.

I don't know but iam just throwing this out there. Could it be a high fluctuation of cold air to hot air or maybe just staring for fuel at start up then it gets enough after a bit.? As I said I don't know for sure as I have never had this problem.
