the name is Bif. Been riding since I was 4, but bought my first quad about a year and a half ago. It was a 300EX. Sold that, bought some utility quads, sold one of those, so now I'm down to a Polaris Magnum 425 for the wife, a Honda Odyssey, and the mighty XT350.

Here's the deal...I'm looking at a 2000 Blaster with a new top end. I'm 6'3 and 240lbs, so Im not your typical rider. I do casual trail rides with the family, and when I'm with friends, I like to turn it up. Will this Blaster be any good for me, or should I go bigger? I'm not looking to outrun anybody, but my fat azz needs all the help it can get. My EX was a dog climbing in sand. Will the Blaster be any different, considering my size?

Thoughts? Comments? Derrogotory Remarks?

My best advice would be find one forsale somewhere and sit on it ride it if you can.In my opinion i would think ur alittle big but its really about how the quad feels to you.Whats nice about a blaster is you can toss them around like they are a rag doll.And nothing beats 2 stroke power but i really would find one u can sit on and even take for a ride to see how it feels to you..we can only tell u what we think.but the feel is all up to the rider {you}

i'll second thta motion.....im 6'1 170....and i took the front fenders of so my knees wouldnt hit them.....that always an option too....and with being 240 u'll need a different shock set up...one specifically for ur weight...if thats the way u decide to go

im just a little taller than you, but i weigh a little less, im really comfortable on my blaster, but you sohuldn't have any trouble with it, but like they said above, sit on one, maybe take for a short spin to see if it will be okay, and like flyers said.. banshee may be more comfortable for you, but they scream too
