Help!!!

Ok so i bought an after market carb and i went to put it on its the same size but the top piece that screws on is smaller and i cant get the cylinder and needpe that goes inside it off to switch the caps.
Please help

What? Huh? Why are you swapping carbs? Do you have the stock carb? Why are you swapping the carb?
Tell us about your bike in detail. Mods? Pictures help a TON. The less we have to decipher (like above) the better.

I lost my old carb someone threw it away or somsomething. So i just bought a different one. Before it got lost i was having problems with it. I would get to 6th gear and ride for a minutes or 2 full throttle and then it would bog once or twice and die and wouldnt start for a few minutes
