My blaster as been stopped almost 2years. This week when i try to start them its leaking gas for bottom and overflow hose.
Open the carb and im waiting at this moment for rebuild kit.

I have two question.

- drain screw on bottom its stripped and i cant unscrew. If its all screw its suposed to leak anything from bottom or only if the screw its not all screwed?

- the engine its all stock only have full procircuit exhaust (platinium pipe and 304 exhaust) ..its need bigger main jet? 230oem inside.

This bike have from new this exhaust with this jet and i think its not to much lean to survive all this year but dont have to much hours

in this order...........

1...properly clean your carb http://www.blasterforum.com/carburetor-138/how-clean-your-carb-pics-209/

2...clean the float needle and seat http://www.blasterforum.com/carburetor-138/easy-almost-free-way-stop-leaky-carbs-33335/

3...check or adjust the float height http://www.blasterforum.com/carburetor-138/float-heights-how-adjust-them-50565/

4...adjust the air screw

needle clip on the stock middle clip position.

you'll need between a 270 and 300 main jet for that pro circut pipe, start large (300) and work down,
learn to do "plug chops" to jet that main jet...........

Thanks

And the drain screw, when its all in bits suposed if i blow from niple bits suposed to passou Aïr from inside to outside niple?

even with the drain screw closed, there is an overflow tube that sticks up from the bottom of the float bowl to just above the recommended fuel level, and allows any fuel over the level to escape.
without it, and a leaking float valve, the fuel would fill the carb, then flood the engine.

so yes, you could blow air into the fuel inlet and it will come out the overflow hose.

If the drain bolt for the bowl is stripped, try and wedge a very small flat head screwdriver against it from the inside of the bowl while gently trying to unscrew it with a flat head screwdiver, unscrewed and removed from the carb. I had that happen once as well and this is how I removed it, the one from the rebuild kit would not fit my bowl, it was to long, you can take a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and gently cut a new flat head groove into the old drain bolt and re-use it. Good luck with it.

After two days of petroleum bath tap screw with pin punch and unscrew the bolt with sucess :D
