I just bought a blaster it's my first atv but I wanna do it right I bought it from a friend for $100 it's a 01 it wouldn't start so I checked the compression and it sucked so I pulled the cyclinder off and found the piston to be messed up..... I have a few questions..... the cyclinder has been bored before and I wanna know what is the max bore and how do I measure it...also what is everyone talking about on here about flipping their front tires or whatever what does this mean.......thanks guys. Oh I forgot to ask also what kinda paint should I use to paint the frame?

Well bring it to shop and they will check for you or if you have and electronic caliper you can check your self. And because yours is an 01 you can take off your front tires and flip them so the valve stem faces in, to get some extra width in the front.

Painting worked, but it was a real pain, not worth it like member "stnditup2" mentioned, even with clear they still crack and looked terrible on my buddies yfz. I jut got aggrevated and ordered a nice set of used maeir racing plastics, (front and Rear) off ebay for $102.00 About those wheels, mine is a 2001 also, and flipping gives a little, but i do have a mint set of the dura-blue spacers if your interested. barely used because i put an extended axle on it. Let me know and we can work something out if your interested. Thanks Jeff

about measuring the cyclinder I got a digital caliper does anyone know what is the max. Bore the cyclinder can be ? In mm. Or inches

The max bore is .90 after that you will need to get it sleeved. Flipping the front tires will add width to the front making it more stable because the front rims are offset.
