hey guys just got the head back the other day it was bored 30 over and the guy got me a wiseco piston with gaskets and what not to put the top end back together. i'm extremely anxious to put it together but when my blaster blew pieces of the piston went down into the crank. i used an air compressor and blew out the crank for about 45 minutes until i could rotate the crank around and not see any pieces through the whole thing. even though i was satisfied that it would be fine then, i keep worrying that i'm gonna wreck the motor when i put it back together cuz there will still be debris down there does anyone know a way i could very thoroughly clean out the crank and stuff so that there is no chance this could happen? or do you think it should be ok as long as i blew it out and cant see any pieces?:-/

Unfortunatly you have to split the cases and either fully clean/replace the bearings and seals.

There is no way that flushing and blowing out will remove all the debris the piston left.

By blowing into the case you most certainly will have blown crap into the bearings.

Even a small grain of grit left in the bearing races will destroy them.
