Hey all,

I acquired a blaster about a year and ago and just haven't had the time to work on it until now. I'm not sure how long it has sat since before I acquired it but from what I can tell it looks like the oil dispenser has been removed and there was no gas in the tank but it definitely needs a good deusching. It being a two stroke I cant imagine it will be an issue getting it started after some quick carb cleaning. I'm not sure if its engine has been rebuilt but there are some wiseco stickers on it. pushing seems like it has good compression but I haven't attached a gauge to it yet, where should compression be on these engines? It also seems to have an aftermarket exhaust. Not much is known about the bike other than when I got it the transmission cover was off and there was no clutch pack and the rear caliper seems to be seized. I ordered a new clutch pack but I thought it was kind of weird that the wave washer kind of just floats inside of the clutch pack assembly, is this normal? here's a pic

Its either and 02 or an 04 I cant remember but aside from the blaster manuals can you guys give me any other good links, tips or insight :) Im kind of new to the ATV world, I know my way around a car but figured how much different can an ATV be right :). It definitely seems to be a good time and there is a trail 10 ft from my house so I cant wait to get this thing back on its feet.

Here is what I have to work with :) its also missing its headlight

sorry for the dark photos my phone was dying and when it does so it wont allow me to use the flash.

Yes the wave washer is normal, comes stock in most of the blasters.

Got pictures of your atv?

You will want to make sure that you have a bigger main jet, if you are running a after market pipe / silencer.

Sometimes people do not change the jet, so be sure to check that it has a larger size one.

Stock is 230.

Welcome! Love the wording, got a chuckle! (see red^^^^)
A Nice Tip is remove that wave washer and the smaller fiber plate put a fullsize good fiber plate in there place, may make the clutch pull a tad harder but can aid in grabbing!

Compression on stock motor no head Modification, should be no less than 110psi that is borderline. Most stockers seem to be in the 120-135 psi range on a fresh top end.

If u get good pics , I'm sure we can identify what exhaust, and if anything elese externally has been done!
