I took the engine off my blaster for the first time. I loosened all the nuts with an impact. When I put the engine back on I tightened only the big nut on the long bolt that goes thru the engine and rear arm with the impact. The others I tightened with a socket wrench. The next time I took the engine out it was it seemed like the engine was not going to come out after I removed the bolts. I went to put it back in and it would not go in no matter what. I squeezed the frame together the time before using the impact. I had to take the bushings out of the rear arm and shave them on a grinder. I took them out 5-6 times and shaved a little more each time. Finally my engine went back in. My frame is still messed up and I havent had it apart since.

Does anyone know if this could cause any major problems? It looks like there might be too much space where the engine goes in between the swingarm. I could have shaved the bushings too much. Im afraid it could cause extra vibration in the engine and damage it. Is there anyway to fix a frame that has been sqeezed together.

does the swingarm move freely? or does it bind while pivoting? and as long as the sprocket lines up staight and the swinger still moves fine id say ride it till the wheels fall off

anything that might have any heat may , expand / contract but i dont normally see the bolt not fiitting , its how you fold the frame to make it fit , unless the frame is bent ( which might be the case) and the difference between now and than

I had the same kind of problem, I tapped the two swingarm mounting tabs outwards with a hammer before installing the bottom end and the swingarm slid in like a glove.

They just get bent in when you torque the swingarm bolt down.

^^^^^^^Ya beat me to it! I have to agree here been there too!

Well I would rather have to er....readjust the frame tabs a bit than have the swingarm nut back off and the swingarm bolt try to fall out on me.

I throw the torque to that nut whenever I put it in.
