thats right!! december 12th 2009 first trip out onto the ice!!! seen some sleds out on the ice so we took the trikes out!..
had a blast! 360 spins best was 3 in a row with out stopping, tryed some wheelies but didnt get very far with out studs, and of course sideways!!!! and more offen sideways to backwards lol!!
was having a good ol time tell i seen some snow on the ice and thought hey, im gonna throw up a roost, first 2 patches of snow were flawless, 3rd not so much... 4th gear prob 40 mph.. pitched her sideways, left knee pretty much on my cam cover, than WHAM!! caught traction and high sided, next thing i know im sliding on my back and my trike is upside down sliding at me, lucky it stopped sliding before i did!!!
no damage done, except some scraps on my lower back from sliding across the ice, and leakes some oil from the vent tube!
coming to a road crossing got stuck in the snow, sucked.. oh well...
make another pass down the channel, come around a sweeping corner, 5th gear, shift my weight to power slide around it, hit smooth ice and kept sliding sideways, than ended up backwards, grabbed the clutch, as im going backwards at prob 25 mph now, right as i go to shift my weight to bring it back around the right tire hits packed snow..
spins a little and im between dead sideways and backwards and over i go, this time she just tipped on her side but i went sliding on my back head first, more scrapes, and pulled a muscle in my neck, decided to call it a day and load up and head home!!
definatly dont like riding ice with out studs!! prob gonna wait a week or two and stud up than hit it again!!
gloves.. check,.... helmet.. check, goggles.. check... bruised ego CHECK!
not bad 2 years on a trike before i 'crash'
